Application tips
Tip #1
Emphasize our core values
Tailor your CV and cover letter to reflect the values we live by: Care, Courage, Openness, and Simplicity.
Use STAR method examples to show how you’ve acted with Courage (taking smart risks), Care (supporting customers or teammates), or promoted Simplicity (streamlining processes).
Tip #2
Use AI to polish, but keep it real
Feel free to use tools like AI to improve clarity, grammar and structure. Just make sure your experience and skills are 100% accurate. We’ll explore them together during interviews and assessments, so honesty is key.
Tip #3
Show your People + Pets connection
We’re united by a shared purpose: People + Pets. Highlight any experience, professional or personal, that shows your dedication to animal welfare or the pet industry. It’s a great way to show us what drives you.

FAQs
Absolutely! If you find more than one role that matches your skills and interests, you’re welcome to apply. Our recruiters will review your profile for all relevant opportunities.
We believe in constructive communication and aim to share insights whenever possible. However, due to the high volume of applications, detailed responses aren’t always feasible. If you’ve completed an interview with us, we offer to provide personalised feedback to help you understand your strengths and areas for improvement.
Not necessarily! English is our main business language, and many roles don’t require German. If German or another language is needed, it will be clearly stated in the job advertisement.
Yes, we use AI-powered tools to help us streamline the hiring process, manage applications efficiently, and enhance the candidate experience. AI brings speed, fairness, and better communication, but it never replaces human judgment.
While our hiring teams may review AI recommendations, they always retain the ability to override them. The decision on who progresses or gets hired rests entirely with the hiring team.
Yes, we support relocation where applicable and further details will be shared during the process.
Who will I meet during the process?
The interview process varies depending on the role. You’ll usually meet a recruiter, your future manager, and team members or stakeholders.
Tech roles may include a live coding task, while business roles often involve a home assignment or problem-solving exercise based on real scenarios.
How long does the hiring process take?
On average, our hiring process takes 4–7 weeks (from application to offer), depending on the role, the job location, and interview availability. We strive to move quickly while ensuring a great candidate experience and thorough assessment process.
This step applies to roles with people management responsibilities. You’ll meet a member of our People & Culture team (aka Human Resources) and an experienced leader from our organisation. The conversation will focus on your leadership experience and include exploratory questions about your approach to leadership and how you would handle specific people-management scenarios.
Most teams work standard business hours (around 9 to 5), but we know life isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why we offer flexibility to adjust your schedule when needed, as long as it works for your role and team. We trust our people to balance personal needs with business priorities.
We work with a hybrid model: 60% onsite and 40% home office per month.
