Job Description
The SAP ABAP Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting ABAP-based solutions within the SAP S/4HANA landscape. This role ensures robust, scalable, and maintainable technical implementations to support business processes across various SAP modules.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP solutions including Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Conversions and Forms (WRICEF).
- Design, develop, test, and deploy FIORI or ABAP-RAP solutions for Reports and Transactional FIORI applications
- Work closely with functional consultants to interpret specifications into technical designs.
- Develop CDS views, AMDP, OO-ABAP, and HANA-optimized code.
- Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Support integrations with SAP CI, third-party systems, and Fiori apps.
- Prepare technical documentation and unit test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Basis, Integration, and functional streams.
- Review the ABAP objects and perform the ATC quality checks.
- Govern the ABAP quality and programming guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- 8-10 years’ experience in SAP ABAP and SAP FIORI developments.
- Strong expertise in ABAP RAP, CDS Views, Adobe Forms, OData services and Workflows.
- Hands-on experience in debugging, performance tuning, and HANA optimization.
