Job Description
Role Purpose
As a Working Student, you'll help the Strategy and Programmes team drive strategic initiatives for zooplus's long-term logistics network. Your responsibilities will centre around preparing data, documenting processes, supporting models, and conducting analytics to guide decisions regarding footprint, fulfilment centres, assortment goals, and capacity planning.
Data Preparation & Analysis
- Gather, clean, and organise data relating to assortment, capacity, lead times, and demand.
- Create and verify inputs and assumptions for the strategic network model.
- Carry out checks on both data and outputs to spot any gaps or inconsistencies.
Model & Scenario Support
- Assist with setting up and running scenarios (such as status quo, target network, sensitivity analyses).
- Update key modelling parameters including assortment ranges, FC specifications, and contract constraints.
- Present scenario results in clear formats for sharing with stakeholders.
Documentation & Governance
- Ensure all assumptions, model logic, and governance details for SNP are well documented.
- Help develop Wiki pages, write process descriptions, and produce onboarding materials.
Dashboarding, Automation & Analytics
- Build dashboards using Python (Plotly/Streamlit), Tableau, or Power BI to keep track of data quality, inputs, and outputs.
- Use Python or Power Query to automate repeatable data tasks.
- Set up validation checks for consistent inputs, such as assortment, SKU curves, throughput, and timelines.
- Develop prototype analytics to give better visibility into core KPIs like CPP, lead time, and capacity.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in modelling workflows and SNP processes.
Slide & Output Preparation
- Design visual presentations for internal audiences (e.g., OLT, SNP Sync, SteerCo).
- Share findings clearly using tables, charts, and bullet points.
Qualifications
- Enrolled student for at least another 6 months, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a similar subject.
- You have strong analytical abilities and an interest in data-driven problem solving and modelling.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential; experience with Python, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI is highly advantageous. First experiences with Vibe Coding.
- You work in a structured and reliable manner, communicate effectively, and are eager to learn about strategic logistics, OR-based modelling, and scenario planning.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Availability for 20 hours per week for a period of 6 months
